Bataan’s famous delicacies, “tuyo” (dried fish) and “tinapa” (smoked fish) easily stand out as among the best-sellers in the first Likha Central Luzon Hybrid Trade Fair from October 13-17, 2021 at the SM City Olongapo Central. (Bataan was joined by Zambales province.)

Other bestsellers from Bataan include polvoron, araro cookies, banana chips, cashew nuts, turmeric tea; handicrafts, lasa brooms, durable bags.
The first Likha ng Central Luzon (LCL) Hybrid Trade Fair is part of the Department of Trade and Industry’s (DTI) annual tradition of exhibiting the best products of the region.
Nelin Ocson Cabahug, DTI Bataan director, said the province has 24 participants in the trade fair– 15 food and nine non-food products. “This is the first Kapihan sa DTI held outside the province,” she said.

Tess Magtanong, DTI information officer, said the agency had offered a number of interventions to local micro small medium enterprises (MSMEs), from business diagnosing to marketing, product development, packaging and labeling, market matching, among others.
Now on its 23rd year, the LCL has expanded its medium by optimizing its platform on Facebook and will engage in separate province-wide trade events with strict observance of health protocols.
